8. Ex-UK Goalkeeper Said To Be Ahead Of Other NXT Talent

29 year old Stuart Tomlinson may look like an ordinary trainee at WWE's Performance Center, but UK fans in particular will be interested to know that the man was a former goalkeeper for English teams such as Port Vale, Burton Albion and Crewe Alexandra in the English football league system. Quitting football in 2013, Tomlinson signed on with WWE, reporting to the promotion's developmental NXT league just before Christmas that year. Transforming into Hugo Knox, the Brit is joined in NXT by another former goalkeeper, former Werder Bremen player Tim Wiese. In somewhat surprising news, Tomlinson has been described by NXT training staff as being head and shoulders above a lot of other aspiring WWE Superstars, but it's unclear whether or not he'll get the call up to the main roster any time soon. Realistically, these words mean that Hugo Knox is a character coming along nicely, but there are still a plethora of talents on NXT who would get the nod before him, such as Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn.
