5. TNA Star Disagrees With WWE Mentality

Previously appearing for WWE as Derrick Bateman, showing up mainly on NXT seasons four and five, Ethan Carter III has been tearing it up in TNA, featuring heavily on programming during a well-received storyline against Rockstar Spud. The diminutive Spud has since turned babyface on his former associate, and quite often the work of both men has been the glue holding Impact Wrestling together. Speaking from experience, Carter noted during a recent media appearance that he couldn't believe what he was hearing from Vince McMahon during the boss's interview with Steve Austin on the WWE Network. Disagreeing wholeheartedly with WWE's mentality that modern pro wrestlers feel entitled and want spoon-fed, Carter claims he met some of the hardest working people he's ever come across whilst in WWE. Weighing in on the situation surrounding Bill DeMott, Carter says this is simply an extension of how younger grapplers are viewed, like selfish brats who need to be put in their place. It's hard to argue with the man, who insists he has no regrets over how he handled himself on NXT or whilst under contract to WWE, working hard and trying to make a name for himself.
