10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (March 20)

4. Chris Jericho Would Be Happy Never To Wrestle Again

Wrestling fans may not always like the way Chris Jericho talks about professional wrestling, like it's a hobby, but the man must be applauded for being able to carve a niche for himself in a completely different market. Noting that he had two distinct dreams when growing up, to be a pro wrestler and a rock star, Jericho has achieved both, something which has to put a smile on the face of anyone who has any shred of self-belief themselves. So many sad stories has come out over the years about wrestlers who retire and can't see past wrestling, but Y2K is the antithesis for that, showing he sees life as a bigger picture, and wrestling as only playing a small part in the overall experience. Talking candidly during a podcast interview, the multi-time World Champion remarked that he wouldn't be devastated if he never wrestled another match, because he's achieved everything he ever wanted in wrestling. Does this mean WWE fans are going to see less and less of Jericho? It certainly seems his focus is mainly on his rock band, Fozzy.
