Most jobbers from the 1980s feared a pasting from The Road Warriors. In their prime, Hawk and Animal would batter the hell out of all and sundry, and it was bad ass. They were face-painted, spike-wearing, Mad Max-inspired powerhouses, and that style made them one of wrestling's most over acts.

By the time they made it to the WWF in the early-90s, Paul Roma and Hercules knew they'd be doing the honours at WrestleMania VII. According to Roma in an interview with WrestleZone Radio though, Power & Glory thought the match was going to be a competitive one. Then, Roma was hospitalised with an arm injury.

Doctors warned him that the arm was a goner if he landed on it badly.

Vince McMahon pleaded with Roma to go out and work "at least one minute". So, that's what he did, and he even took LOD's Doomsday Device finish. As he was bumping, Paul made sure to land on his shoulders rather than his elbow.
