There's a lot that WWE might want you to forget about Becky Lynch.

Years before she was 'The Man', Becky was a stereotypical Irish dancer who had more in common with the Lucky Charms leprechaun than Conor McGregor. She was struggling for house room on an increasingly packed NXT women's scene, and WWE weren't entirely sure what to do with her.

On Twitter, Lynch said that quandary almost led to her being cut. Oh yes, one of the most dynamic female stars of modern-day WWE was very nearly released from contract before she even really got started. Weeks before working a match with Summer Rae under the Riverdance gimmick, Bex believed she was on the outs.

WWE changed their minds in the end and tried the (God awful) dancing schtick as a last resort. Somehow, it convinced them that Lynch could work out and they kept her on the books. It's amazing to think she could go from that to headlining 'Mania.
