Like a bolt from the blue, the original New World Order concept completely revolutionised WCW and (over time) turned the ailing promotion into a WWF beater Eric Bischoff could brag about.

The slick, cool vibes given off by Hollywood Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash were unlike anything the company had ever tried before; hip and happening, the nWo made WCW's top babyfaces look positively pedestrian by comparison, and it looked like nothing could stop the storyline group.

Appearing on the Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling show, a reflective Bischoff admitted that mistakes were made even during the Order's earliest days.

Eventually, the nWo idea was diluted to the point of overkill, but Eric reasoned that similar errors were made from the off, pointing to the inclusion of Ted DiBiase in the late-Summer of 1996; joining the nWo as a 'financial backer', DiBiase's face didn't really fit with the renegade attitude of the stable, and that's something Bischoff was keen to point out he shouldn't have written.
