10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (March 30)

1. There's A Secret Tribute To The Beatles In The Brood's Theme

Back during the height of WWE's Attitude Era, The Brood were awesome. Blood-spitting vampires who made the gimmick cool before Twilight, Gangrel and company also had a rocking entrance tune to signal their arrival in the arenas. That very song had a bizarre hidden message.

During the same interview with Chris Van Vliet mentioned earlier, Gangrel said Jim Johnston (then WWE's music man) purposely sneaked in a little tribute to one of his favourite bands. Play the track backwards and those whispering voices at the start say, "I buried Paul, walk with me".

To anyone not in the know, that's a line from a conspiracy theory surrounding the supposed death of Beatles member Paul McCartney; it's said that John Lennon mumbles those words towards the end of 1967's Strawberry Fields Forever.

How quirky of Johnston to creatively incorporate that conspiracy into one of his wrestling themes. Somehow, this makes The Brood part of The Beatles lore. That should put a smile on any rock-loving wrestling fan's face.
