It's weird to think about now, but there was some hesitation from fans online when WWE shoved Cesaro and Sheamus together as 'The Bar' amidst their 'Best Of Seven' series storyline in 2016. On screen, the union was credited to then-Raw General Manager Mick Foley.

Cred should go to Mick off screen too.

During a sit-down interview with talkSPORT, Cesaro revealed that Foley was the one who identified chemistry between both men and took it upon himself to pitch a new tag-team to WWE's creative department. They took his idea on board and that was that. Almost overnight, Cesaro and Sheamus had a new role in the company.

Cesaro is thankful for Mick's intervention, because it led to some of the most fun times of his career both inside and out of the ring. He and Sheamus developed a close friendship, and it's a period Cesaro dearly hopes isn't over.
