3. John Cena Believes Sabu Has Always Been Under-Rated

It's interesting that WWE's official website recently ran an article dedicated to the career of Sabu. An ECW original, the death-defying star was never the kind of performer that proved a good fit for the top companies. He did have runs in WCW and WWE, but neither felt anywhere near as satisfying as his ECW work.

The more gritty feel of Paul Heyman's group just seemed to click with Sabu. Someone many fans definitely wouldn't expect to hear discussing the table-breaking madman's career is one John Cena (despite their very brief summer 2006 feud), but he was called upon for comments in WWE's tribute piece.

Remarkably, WWE's poster boy for the past decade stated his firm belief that Sabu has always been under-rated as a performer. He did note that the unique vibe of his act wasn't a great fit for WWE's current climate, but wondered what it may have been like to have Sabu in the company during the 'Attitude Era'.

Of all people, John Cena is perhaps the last wrestler that longtime Sabu supporters would expect to hear praise from. Their performances and careers could not be more different, but it seems as though Big Match John is a fan of his work.
