2. Eric Bischoff Used To Hide Out To Hear Crowd Reactions In WCW

Wrestling fans could be forgiven for believing that Eric Bischoff didn't give a damn what they thought during the height of the nWo angle's success. Concocting one of the most lucrative ideas in modern pro wrestling history, Bischoff struck gold with the heel faction. That was reflected in his personality.

Cocky and confident in himself, Bischoff's smug TV persona probably wasn't a complete act. He had a lot to be happy about, but he also told WrestleZone Radio this past week that he always paid attention to what the audience were doing. Bischoff says he lived and died by the cheering and booing he would hear for each performer.

In his own words, the single most powerful creative power in WCW would regularly take himself somewhere quiet and simply listen. Often, this was to a less-crowded area of the building, but one that would still allow him to soak up the atmosphere of the live crowd.

Pulling his cap over his face to hide his identity, he'd get closer to audiences than they ever may have imagined.
