10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (May 22)
9. Triple H & Stephanie Plan On Reinventing How WWE Present Women
2015 has arguably been the most interesting year for WWE Divas in recent memory, but not necessarily for what has taken place on the promotion's television shows. Instead, a lot of this intrigue stems from words said away from the ring, or indeed the cameras altogether. Not only were the likes of AJ Lee and Paige extremely vocal on social media and interviews regarding how women are portrayed on WWE television, but the likes of Ronda Rousey have also made appearances, kicking ass at WrestleMania and being rumoured for a big match against Stephanie McMahon. It's Stephanie, along with her husband Triple H, who make up the crux of this story. It seems like both have made it their personal mission to change perception of the WWE Divas, transitioning them from sex symbols into positive role models, a task which will take some doing. Apparently, Vince McMahon is still happy to have the women do what they've always done, but could 2016 be the year of the Diva in WWE? It looks like it if Stephanie and Triple H have their way.
