It's a surprise that the name John Morrison hasn't popped back up on WWE television, especially considering the promotion were reportedly interested in re-signing him right before last Summer's WWE Draft. Thus far, it hasn't happened, but that doesn't worry Morrison - now known as Johnny Mundo in Lucha Underground - one bit.

Talking with The Buzzards Podcast recently, the chiselled Mundo said that he's having a great time working the independent scene and starring in low budget movies on the side. Most notably, he claimed that his work in Lucha Underground has actually been better than anything he achieved under the WWE banner.

Refusing to rule out a possible return to WWE someday, the former Intercontinental Champion did say that he was happy to be working for a promotion (Lucha Underground) that enables him to much free time to explore other projects. That'll be John Morrison out of The Marine 6 then.
