There was a time when Sheamus was handed the nickname 'The Great White' in WWE. A clear reference to his pale skin, the moniker has since been dropped and WWE's announcers don't draw much attention to his milky white look these days.

That's a waste according to former WWE star John Morrison, who wanted to build an entire match around the Irishman's skin colour and actually pitched a 'Tanning Bed' stipulation to the creative team during a feud between both he and Sheamus at the tail end of 2010.

Talking to Sean Waltman for the X-Pac 1, 2, 360 podcast, Morrison said WWE's writing staff turned the idea down flat and that Vince McMahon laughed the tanning concept off as ridiculous. Similarly, a 'Porto-Potty' bout which would have seen Morrison and The Miz attempt to stuff one another into a portable toilet was also knocked back.

Morrison understands why that one was nixed, but feels the 'Tanning Bed' match with Sheamus would have worked a treat.
