It seems WWE will never move on from what happened at the 1997 Survivor Series. They certainly won't let Bret Hart forget one of the worst nights of his career.

The fact the company still insist on using repeats of what happened on November 9, 1997 in 2016 is pretty eye-opening.

Payback is in the bag for WWE, but the pay-per-view is still being analysed and broken down. The 'Montreal Screwjob' style finish to the WWE Women's Title match between Charlotte and Natalya was uninspiring, booked to capitalise on the presence of Bret.

Attending the event and situated at ringside for the aforementioned match, Hart told on his own podcast after the show that he nonetheless had a wonderful time at Payback. Those experiences are recanted here, including a story related to the unfortunate injury suffered by Enzo Amore.

Other facts include a hilarious tale about Brian Pillman revelling in the misery of Steve Austin in 1995 and a revelatory look into the wage structure in WWE.

Let's take a look at some wrestling facts you didn't know about last week...

10. Steve Austin Felt Simon Gotch Was Reckless With Enzo Amore Injury

It didn't take everyone long to realise that Enzo Amore was seriously hurt at Payback. Hurled into the ropes by Simon Gotch during a seemingly innocuous spot, the charismatic grappler suffered a nasty collision with one of the ring ropes and tumbled to the arena floor.

The referee, announcers, fans and his peers quickly recognised the severity of the situation.

Exiting the ring, Gotch attempted to pick Amore up, before realising what had happened. Speaking on his own podcast, Steve Austin remarked that this was the wrong thing to do in those circumstances. In Austin's mind, Gotch was at fault for the injury, because he failed to take care of his co-worker.

There wasn't enough distance for Enzo to react to the proximity of the ropes when he was thrown with some force by the Vaudevillains member. Austin also stated his belief that Gotch should have eased up on the power, because he didn't do Amore any favours.

After his head smacked against one of the ropes, Enzo also hit his cranium on the floor at ringside, suffering a concussion.
