10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (May 8)
2. Steve Austin Denies Rift With John Cena
WrestleMania 32 will take place in Steve Austin's home state of Texas, and the WWE Hall Of Fame inductee has said talks are ongoing about a possible appearance on the card. Whether or not this means the legend will be physically involved remains to be seen, but fans have been clamouring for one last match from 'The Rattlesnake' ever since he hung up the boots following his match with The Rock at 'Mania XIX in 2003. 12 years have passed since Austin last wrestled, so there would be significant interest in one last bout. The star has never felt he was able to properly wave goodbye to his fans, mainly because he didn't realise at the time that the encounter with The Rock would be his last. During the same interview, Austin addressed recent news that he had beef with John Cena for using a variation of his 'Stone Cold Stunner'. Putting the rumours to bed that he was unhappy at Cena's choice of move, Austin said there wasn't a bigger fan of the man on the planet that he, and he would have no problem with the current WWE star using the standard version of the move that 'Stone Cold' made famous. Austin might not, but a lot of long time fans probably would!
