10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (May 8)

3. Justin Bieber Wanted To Work At SummerSlam 2014

Whilst it would have received widespread attention, turning the eyes of the general public onto the wrestling world, most grappling enthusiasts are likely delighted that Justin Bieber never got his wish of working a match at the Summerslam 2014 Pay-Per-View. If recent reports are to be believed, the pop-star held talks with WWE about teaming with John Cena at the big event last year. There was even a scenario considered whereby Cena would tire of Bieber being by his side, and The Big Show would swoop in and keep the peace. Even reading such an idea likely gives many wrestling fans the dry heave! It appears that talks have stalled about bringing Bieber into the fold for a number of appearances, although there are suggestions that the singer is considered likely to work with the promotion in the future. Surely, even though he is popular with a younger market, Bieber would be on the receiving end of heavy booing from fans?
