10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Nov 12)
Find out who came up with the 'List Of Jericho'...
More so than anyone else from his generation, Chris Jericho has constantly been able to reinvent himself for the modern WWE audience. The Canadian's latest catchphrases, such as 'Stupid Idiot', 'Drink It In, Man' and 'The Gift Of Jericho' have all managed to get over with fans. Incredibly, they all pale in comparison to 'The List Of Jericho'.
Despite being a heel, Y2J's paper list is one of the most revered items on WWE television today. Every single time Jericho teases putting a performer on the list, crowds go wild. Although Jericho is a heel, 'The List Of Jericho' is very much over as a babyface act.
It may startle some to learn that Jericho himself wasn't the one to come up with the list. Find out who did in this week's article, along with numerous other wrestling facts we didn't know last week.
Joining Chris Jericho, there are facts revolving around names like Booker T, Finn Balor and even James Ellsworth. There's also an amazing story about Shawn Michaels, and which current performer the legend told was his favourite wrestler.
Let's look at the facts...
10. Booker T Thinks James Ellsworth's Act Is Getting Old
Since acting as enhancement talent for Braun Strowman on the July 25 episode of Monday Night Raw, James Ellsworth has blossomed into a cult-like phenomenon in WWE. Now appearing exclusively on SmackDown Live, the diminutive jobber has been aligned with Dean Ambrose and even holds a few victories over current WWE Champion AJ Styles.
On this past week's edition of SmackDown in Glasgow, Scotland, Ellsworth was handed one of the biggest pops of the night by the live crowd. That's something WWE Hall Of Fame inductee Booker T just doesn't understand. The multi-time World Champ can't comprehend why Ellsworth is still around.
Speaking via his Heated Conversations podcast, Booker said that he didn't have anything against James Ellsworth. He does think it's awesome that an unlikely wrestler bagged himself an opportunity. However, it has went on too long for the WWE ambassador.
Straight up, Booker T shared his belief that the James Ellsworth saga is 'getting old' for him now. Booker thinks there are trainees from his own school and promotion that are much more deserving of the screen time.
