3. The Undertaker Fought For A Savio Vega Contract Extension

A few years ago, Charles 'Papa Shango/The Godfather' Wright revealed during a shoot interview that he was part of a backstage group led by The Undertaker. Most wrestling fans know about 'The Kliq', but there was also apparently the 'Bone Street Krew'. Wright was a member, alongside 'Taker, Yokozuna, The Godwinns, Crush, Rikishi, Paul Bearer and Mr. Fuji. Pretty much all of the members decided to get a tattoo of 'BSK' on their abdomen. Savio Vega was another member, and he was one of the ones who got the BSK tattoo. The Puerto Rican had been brought into the company by Razor Ramon, but he became great friends with Undertaker and helped form the backstage collective. In 1998, Vega informed his chum that he was leaving the WWF. Wondering why, 'Taker was sad to hear the news. In Savio's words, his contract had come up for renewal, and the WWF had elected not to extend the deal. Telling his friend that he would see what he could do, The Undertaker went to Vince McMahon and asked for a 2-year contract to be handed to Vega, as revealed during WWE.com's uncensored look at the history of the BSK. It didn't happen, but it shows how much Undertaker valued Savio's friendship.
