Kevin Nash is often unfairly criticised for his year-long tenure as WWF Heavyweight Champion between November, 1994 and November, 1995. Holding the belt at a time when business was down across the board for the company, Nash's Diesel character was at a disadvantage from the start.

Speaking with Justin Barrasso this week, Nash recalled stepping foot in Vince McMahon's office for a meeting with the boss. Happy with the news he was about to tell his champion, McMahon said that he wanted to promote a charity fight between Diesel and Mike Tyson in late-1995. Meanwhile, Nash sat stunned by the idea.

Asking how much money was in it, Nash was told there would be none as it was a charity gig. Laughing, the wrestler said he didn't fancy getting knocked out by Mike Tyson for absolutely nothing. Quickly, Vince changed the subject and the tone of the conversation.

Telling Nash that he would be dropping the WWF Title to Bret Hart at Survivor Series, McMahon also said it was because he wanted to promote Hart vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XII.

Not wavering, Nash said that he still didn't want to do the Tyson fight and was happy to drop the belt.
