Vince McMahon once pondered whether or not Ryback, a mountain of muscle, was fat. That unique perspective was why WWE put the wrestler in a singlet rather than having him work in trunks. Ryback laughed off suggestions he had ever been overweight on Colt Cabana's Art Of Wrestling podcast.

Word got back to Ryback that McMahon wanted him to lose 30lbs of weight, and he could scarcely believe it was true. At that point, Ryback was only concerned that the plain black singlet WWE handed him made him look like Big Show. Seeking something a bit more unique, he contacted Rob Van Dam and asked him if he'd be cool with some airbrushing.

Van Dam gave the go-ahead, but Vince still wasn't satisfied with the results. For some reason, he was fully focused on the idea of Ryback dropping pounds. Ryback has always a been a thick, muscled man, but he could never be accurately called fat.
