Adam Rose's last role on WWE television was as part of The Social Outcasts. Alongside Heath Slater, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel, Rose formed part of a group disgruntled at their positioning on programming. Long story short, the faction was a modern-day update of Al Snow's infamous J.O.B Squad from the late-1990's.

Before joining the stable, Rose was someone who had high hopes of making a splash on the main WWE roster. A success down in NXT, the South African star was however warned that he had a tough task on his hands convincing Vince McMahon of his viability as a character. This was a story Rose shared with Colt Cabana on his The Art Of Wrestling podcast.

Based on Aldous Snow from the movie Get Him To The Greek, Adam Rose was told by Triple H that McMahon probably wouldn't get the reference. In his late-60's at that point, Vince had never seen Get Him To The Greek and Triple H reasoned that Rose was already swimming upstream with the idea.

During the same interview, Adam agrees that McMahon never fully embraced the Rose persona.
