Chris Jericho has credited Jimmy Jacobs for helping him write some promos in interviews before, but it wasn't clear until Y2J's recent chat with Metal Injection just how important Jacobs was. When addressing the fact Jacobs recently left WWE, Jericho said the former ROH man was crucial to the success of his latest character.

Jericho didn't just enjoy coming up with the 'List Of Jericho', new catchphrases or material for his segments with Jacobs, he actually relied on the creative team member to help him write. During the interview, Y2J said he would worry when Jacobs wasn't around backstage at Raw, because he knew just how brilliant his mind was.

Specifically, Jericho asked WWE's creative team not to send anyone else but Jacobs to work with him on his promos. That's some high praise from one of the best talkers in wrestling history, and it shows just how valuable Jimmy Jacobs was to the company.
