5. Jeff Jarrett Wanted The Mean Street Posse To Badmouth Vince McMahon In TNA

The Mean Street Posse were hardly the most dominant tag-team in WWF/WWE history, but they were involved in some massive storylines. Introduced as childhood friends of Shane McMahon in 1999, Pete Gas, Joey Abs and Rodney were routinely whipping boys and simple henchman for Shane throughout their tenure with the company.

Each member did hold the WWF Hardcore Title, but the trio would never have success in the tag division. Leaving the organisation in 2001, The Posse were rarely referenced again on television. Had Jeff Jarrett been able to convince Gas however, the group may have turned up in TNA during the early years of the promotion's existence.

Telling Main Event Radio about the proposal, Gas claimed that Jarrett wanted to bring him into TNA solely to badmouth the McMahon family. As a real-life friend of Shane's, Gas wasn't interested in doing anything of the sort. As this was the only thing motivating Jarrett, any prospective deal was swiftly taken off the table.

Random verbal attacks on WWE from other companies are nothing new, but it's hard to see how this gimmick would have helped anyone in TNA.
