Aside from his WWE Title win at Elimination Chamber, one Bray Wyatt has had a frankly crap 2017. Feuds against Randy Orton, Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor have failed to excite, and the cult-like character has slipped into a dull formula of long-winded promos being followed by humdrum matches on pay-per-view.

Things might've been worse had WWE gone through with their initial plans for the Rollins feud. Flying in the face of logic, creative actually wanted to extend the lifeless rivalry beyond Great Balls Of Fire. Seth himself revealed this on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, and he also admitted that he's glad it didn't wind up happening.

Can you imagine another Rollins vs. Wyatt match at SummerSlam? As if that card needed any more unnecessary matches padding it out. Rollins agrees that he's much better off in a tag-team with Dean Ambrose for now. That's not a surprise, because he must have known the Wyatt feud was going nowhere.
