It must take a lot of balls to sit across from Vince McMahon and tell him you think his grand idea for your character flat out sucks. Chris Candido did just that in 1996, and he even did it inside the hallowed halls of Madison Square Garden. Tom Prichard (who was playing Candido's tag partner Zip at the time) was there, and he couldn't believe his eyes.

Prichard told this story on the Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling podcast. As McMahon laid out the new 'Cloudy' character who would replace Sunny in The Bodydonnas, Candido shook his head and said he thought it was the most stupid thing he'd ever heard. Meanwhile, Prichard looked on in awe and just wanted his pal to shut up.

McMahon didn't flinch and The Bodydonnas ended up getting Cloudy as their new manager anyway. That didn't matter to Prichard, because he secretly thought the entire fitness gimmick was crap to begin with, and didn't see how anything could make it worse than it already was.
