Who are some of the WWE stars you'd imagine Roman Reigns looked up to when he first hit the main roster? John Cena? The Undertaker? Triple H? How about Fandango? The dancing man was a mentor of sorts to Reigns when he first landed on shows like Raw and SmackDown. Roman said so during an interview with CBS Sports.

At the time (late-2012/early-2013), Fandango was on fire with his new character and snagged himself a WrestleMania win over Chris Jericho. That would be the highlight of his run though, because the cartoonish gimmick he played made it impossible for fans to take Fandango seriously. Backstage, Fandango was someone his peers took seriously, mainly due to his relaxed attitude.

Telling Reigns that a WWE star must have thick skin to do some of the silly stuff they do and 'run around like a sissy wearing tight pants', Fandango said a certain toughness was required if you were going to last. Now, Reigns realises just how right his friend was and still thinks back to that advice whenever he has reservations about a storyline or promo today.
