It's not uncommon for WWE performers to witness various celebrities converge on their place of work. During Rob Van Dam's run in the promotion, Jean-Claude Van Damme was called in for a special appearance. Making this more exciting for RVD, he had often been physically compared to the actor and martial artist, which is clearly where the 'Rob Van Dam' name came from.

Appearing as an interview guest on Sean Waltman's X-Pac 1, 2, 360 podcast, the wrestler talked about an unintentionally hilarious altercation with Van Damme behind the scenes. The star of Bloodsport and Kickboxer was signing autographs and taking pictures for fans when it took place.

RVD had been turned down for a personal picture request by Van Damme's management, so decided to join the queue and meet him as a fan. Others in the line got excited, and agreed to let the wrestling star go to the front. Only then did Jean-Claude call off the whole thing, meaning Rob never did get his signed picture.

As the crowd chanted for RVD, Van Damme disappeared with his handler. It seems he wasn't fond of RVD's involvement.
