Regardless of whether every fan gets the 'Day One-ish' branding or not, it can't be denied that The Usos have experienced a new lease of life since turning heel in 2016. By ditching the face paint, canning the traditional Samoan dance routine during their entrances and generally acting more like street punks, Jimmy and Jey have become one of WWE's best heel teams.

That might not have happened had Vince McMahon got his way. When discussing a heel turn for the brothers, McMahon wanted them to keep the paint and just act meaner during matches. The siblings revealed this during a chat with Edge and Christian for the pair's Pod Of Awesomeness show. Things could have been very different.

Fighting their corner, Jimmy and Jey argued that they needed a complete change if they were ever going to succeed as bad guys. Thank God they were so stubborn, because it's hard to see the tribal characters being anything more than a Headshrinkers rip off had The Usos kept their traditional Samoan feel.
