Vince McMahon skyrocketed to becoming the biggest villain in the company in the late ‘90s, acting like a maniacal Chairman hell bent on getting his own way. Vince and wife Linda McMahon often quarrelled and fought during this period, even going so far as to accompany different wrestlers to the ring in the Fatal four-way elimination match for the WWF Championship at WrestleMania 2000.

The week after Linda told Vince she wanted a divorce, Linda was rushed to hospital (or “medical facility”, pal), having suffered a nervous breakdown from all the emotional abuse she had endured from Vince. From there on she was in a comatose state, with Vince continuously sedating her with drugs.

Vince psychotically pushed her around in a wheelchair and started an extramarital affair with Trish Stratus. Because Linda couldn’t move she had to live through watching Vince passionately locking lips with Trish, as well as take repeated insults/abuse from daughter Stephanie and watch on helplessly as Vince/Triple H fiercely beat down her son Shane time after time. A cruel existence for the CEO of the company.

Thankfully, her fate wasn’t permanent. It was testy for a while but at WrestleMania X-Seven, Linda rised from the chair to exact revenge by kicking Vince right in his grapefruits.
