10 Wrestling Finishers That Were Successfully Used In Pro MMA Fights

4. Sweet Chin Music: Richie Vaculik Vs. Louis Smolka

Sweet Chin Music, also known as the superkick, is a high-impact move that 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels used to capture several WWE championships. More recently, acts like The Young Bucks have been associated with the maneuver.

The superkick is essentially a high side thrust kick that lands on an opponent's chin (or another part of their head).

Back in November of 2014, flyweight standout Louis Smolka faced Richie Vaculik at UFC Fight Night: Rockhold vs. Bisping. Early in the third-round, Smolka landed a nasty superkick that sent Vaculik to the canvas.

In this instance, the move was not only successful; it ultimately led to a KO victory for Smolka.

Evidence would suggest that Michaels' signature move can also be an effective finisher inside the UFC Octagon as well.
