10 Wrestling Gimmick Matches That Only Happened Once

6. Fish Market Street Fight

A great many wrestling match-types have been conceived by affixing a few random words (typically, the name of the location in which it takes place) onto the already-established "Street Fight". See, for example: Greenwich Street Fight, Philadelphia Street Fight, and so on.

But TNA went one better than this at Destination X 2008 with its Fish Market Street Fight. Here, the match was so named not because of its location - like all TNA pay-per-views, it was held in the Impact Zone - but because there was loads of fish at ringside.

And not just fish either; there was also a fishing rod, which was used by Curry Man as a means of offence against Bubba Ray Dudley. You're probably imagining him beating him over the head with the handle, but no - he actually tricked his opponent into biting the hook on the end of the line by dangling a piece of cod in front of his nose.

Obviously, this was completely ridiculous, but at least it was self-consciously ridiculous. The TNA creative team knew they weren't breaking any new ground here, but instead putting a fun spin on an otherwise drab and unremarkable match-up.
