Who You Think Created It: Kevin Sullivan or another member of WCW's creative nucleus.

Who Actually Created It: Eric Bischoff has admitted on his '83 Weeks' podcast that he was all in on characters like Glacier, Mortis and Wrath during the mid-to-late-'90s in WCW. He wanted to capitalise on the buzz of video games like Mortal Kombat by creating his own 'Blood Runs Cold' marketing movement.

You'd have been forgiven for thinking Sullivan, who had previous with his wild 'Dungeon Of Doom' stable, was the one who came up with it. Apparently not - it was Bischoff's baby, and he'd spent a good few hours chatting away about the idea, karate and MMA to Ray 'Glacier' Lloyd during their very first meeting.

The 'Blood Runs Cold' experiment was a curious one for Bischoff. He was just about to launch the gritty nWo around the same time, and gimmicks like Glacier seemed cartoonish by comparison.
