10 Wrestling Gimmicks More Disturbing Than You Think

8. Skinner Murdered Animals For Fun

Future Doink The Clown clone Steve Keirn debuted in the WWF as Florida Everglades hunter Skinner in 1991. Announcers like Gorilla Monsoon often called the dude a "filthy pig", and turned their nose up at his tobacco-soaked beard or dirty in-ring tactics.

The company did draw attention to the alligator claw Skinner carried around with him, but didn't really talk about the fact that he murdered animals for sport, money and just because he could. Christ, this is the kind of thing wrestling would shy away from now, because it's just not worth the hassle.

In short, Skinner traded killing alligators for a gig in the world's biggest wrestling company - what a career change that is! Seriously though, if the aim of a rasslin heel is to be someone fans find it easy to detest, then Skinner fit the bill.

He spent his free time murdering wildlife, and barely anyone discussed how horrible that was.
