5. Arachnaman
We swear it's not Spider-Man. Promise! Brad Armstrong was actually a decent talent from a legendary wrestling family who enjoyed success in the WCW as the WCW Light Heavyweight Champion in 92. After that, he would sign with the WWE, working house shows and training younger wrestlers, and later working briefly as an announcer and producer, up until his death in 2012 from a suspected heart attack. However, earlier in his WCW run (in 1991), he was saddled by the creative brain cramp that was Arachnaman - a masked wrestler gimmick complete with "web shooters" that shot silly string and whose only discernible difference from Marvel's Spider-Man were the colours of the costume. Which led to the inevitable: Marvel rattled their legal sabres, and Arachnaman was squashed.
