10 Wrestling Hoaxes That Fooled The Internet

9. Vince McMahon Is Going Blind

In May of 2015, an internet prankster circulated fake news of Vince McMahon's blindness.

A since-deleted Reddit poster claimed that, following the May 4th RAW, Vince, fumbling in the dark, required help to get backstage. Instantly, the web was afire with this-explains-everything confirmation of Vince's condition. His inability to see the rising tide of the future added a certain credibility to it all; perhaps Vince simply reached out to pat the heads of his new roster, and, when lowering his arm to discover that the vast majority were shorter than him, literally dismissed them out of hand. He couldn't see Chad Gable's improbably firecracker power game and beaming charisma; he could only pat his head. He couldn't see Kevin Owens' powerful polymath brilliance and ability to carry genuine top-level programmes; only his not particularly ripped physique.

How else to explain, beyond braille, the push of the vascular Jinder Mahal?

Deaf, possibly. That might explain his totally delusional no-selling of CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and Zack Ryder. Vince was never going blind.

Not literally, anyway.
