10 Wrestling Hoaxes That Fooled The Internet

7. Kevin Sullivan Killed The Benoit Family

This hoax, depressingly more prevalent than it should be, speaks to the mind of a certain pro wrestling fan. Struggling to separate the performer from the person, some - including a tinfoil hat-wearing IGN board member - believe that Kevin Sullivan, Nancy Benoit's ex-husband, took belated vengeance on the adulterers and their child by killing them all several years after the divorce.

This, before we proceed further, is obviously utter b*llocks, and the rationale behind it all is damning. Some people don't want to deem their beloved technical genius capable of such an unspeakable atrocity. But a more limited worker who never worked for WWE?

You murdering b*stard.

This person, 'amard1', cites the following "evidence".

"One of Nancy’s friend says that Nancy loved Chris and she had no plans to leave him."

Yes, because people in abusive relationships don't live in a state of fear or do something, anything, to deny their horrific reality from themselves.

"Why would he tie up Nancy to kill her? He was a big guy. He could have just hit her one good time and she would have been out."

Why even think this through?

"Nancy Benoit’s death was posted on the internet, 14 hours before her body was found."

Yes, Kevin Sullivan should have admitted traceable guilt after he murdered Nancy, not before!

Silly Kevin.
