10 Wrestling Hoaxes That Fooled The Internet
6. The Infamous Angelfire Wrestling Rumours Compendium
A full 459 funny, dark and grotesque urban legends were compiled by a gentleman named 'Supreme' in the days before SquaredCircle and social media in a thread started by one Tony Khan on DVDVR, not that he knew or contributed to the wildfire to come.
They range from the feasible to the fantastical, but several members of what was once known as the 'IWC' closed the tab knowing that they will never, ever look at Kerry Von Erich in quite the same way. The legends of several pro wrestlers were enriched or tarnished on that infamous Angelfire rumour round-up, the batsh*t craziness of which, with a salacious tabloid-like power, encouraged people to believe. It was just more entertaining that way.
Did you know that Kerry - and Sabu - took a perverse pleasure in murdering felines? Or that Bill DeMott once sh*t on Buff Bagwell's face? Or that Raven is more horse than human being, and that his jorts only barely concealed his junk?
All "alleged", you understand.
Sprinkled amongst the most disturbing and likely/hopefully bullsh*t revelations are stories that, while never officially confirmed, are as close to the truth as this fabricated enterprise gets: the demise of Nancy Argentino is covered here years before the cold case heated up years later, as are the JBL hazing practises corroborated in the shoot interview circuit that rose to prominence in parallel.
Is the dark history of wrestling's past hiding in plain sight on an archaic, free to use website builder, or is it all one big worked shoot?
