Meanwhile, the agreed-upon Madison Square Garden mid-ring goodbye got Triple H in all sorts of bother. Punished because nobody else could be (in an effort on Vince McMahon's part to reclaim his seething dressing room's respect), the future 'Game' lost his King Of The Ring. Stone Cold Steve Austin used the platform to (eventually) vault into the stratosphere.
