10 Wrestling Legends PG Fans Should Know (But Probably Don't)

10. Chris Hamrick

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNXWWT8JyEA Chris Hamrick is an ECW original that just never seemed to be at the right place at the right time, despite always being a solid competitor during his twenty year career. Hamrick started wrestling during his teenage years and he was featured on early episodes of Monday Night Raw as a jobber. During that time, he started to perform what became known as the "Hamrick bump" when he would fly through the ropes and crash to the outside, which Alberto Del Rio frequently used during his WWE run. Hamrick's ability to make other wrestlers look good garnered him a spot in Smokey Mountain Wrestling and later WCW in 1994, but he wasn't used in a main spot. Eventually, he worked for ECW and this time, was actually given a chance to show his skills. Unfortunately, the stage that allowed him to showcase his aerial and technical ability only lasted about 6 months before ECW closed its doors. However, ECW provided a launching pad for Hamrick, as he became well known on the independent circuit as one half of the tag team, "Southern Comfort" with Tracy Smothers. The team had many good matches and worked a regular schedule for almost five years. It's disappointing that Hamrick didn't get the chance he deserved and doesn't get the recognition he earned, but the bottom line is, you won't find a sub par Chris Hamrick match.
