10 Wrestling Legends PG Fans Should Know (But Probably Don't)

They revolutionised the business, but most John Cena fans don't know them.

The WWE Network has allowed fans around the world to browse much of the company's extensive video library, which includes almost every major promotion in the history of pro wrestling in the United States. More fans have more access to more content than ever before, but even with the on-demand service to watch nearly every pay-per-view ever produced, it seems as though the majority of the younger WWE audience still don't know about some of the great competitors that influenced the industry. Some of these names were disappointingly lost through time or some of the footage of the classic matches that showcase their skills isn't widely available. It's important to note that the WWE doesn't own the rights to some of the more obscure footage so it can't be featured on the Network or DVD release. Some of the wrestlers on this list will be known to the PG audience, but not necessarily for their ability in the squared circle. It could also be a case that this list of competitors should be mentioned and credited more often to WWE's global audience, but for whatever reason, the chance isn't presented to subscribers. Consider this as a way to recognize and give credit those that had a major impact on the business.
