10 Wrestling Legends PG Fans Should Know (But Probably Don't)

3. Gary Hart

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjkhZG-g0C8 Gary Hart, who started in the business in the early 1960s, was one of the smartest minds and under rated managers in the history of the industry. He makes this list because while his time as booker of World Class Championship Wrestling is well documented, he rarely gets mentioned for his work as a manger and he was as effective on the mic as any of the other notable managers during his era. Hart had a very devious interview style, as he cut promos with intent using cold expressions and a calculating tone. Hart's promos allowed the audience to believe that the heels were a legitimate threat and that the baby face could be in jeopardy, which could get an angle over with the audience. A prime example is his promos for both The Great Kabuki and later, The Great Muta, as he did the mic work for the Japanese wrestlers. Gary Hart was also extremely knowledgeable about the business and he knew how to draw money. Specifically, his booking for WCCW was the promotion's top drawing years and there was a decline after Hart left the promotion to work for the NWA.
