10 Wrestling Legends That Would Never Be Pushed In WWE 2015

If Kevin Owens can't catch a break, these guys would have no chance.

News from Monday's edition of Raw includes the fact that Randy Orton made fun of Kevin Owens' weight in a promo and went un-reprimanded for doing so. There's a belief that there are agents and creative team members backstage who are conspiring against the push of the one-time NXT Champion and independent superstar because he's believed to be not so cosmetically appealing. Foremost, the idea of burying an opponent in a promo is generally stupid. While yes, the fans still appear to love Kevin Owens, when an established star calls out a rising (and over) performer for being "fat," it actually devalues not just Owens, but Orton wrestling Owens, and Orton defeating Owens, too. Randy certainly understands this, so the idea of Orton burying Owens is likely linked to a higher power in the company wanting to make a point on screen. WWE's shooting themselves in the foot with this one, and it's not a good situation at all. Maybe the bigger problem is that throughout wrestling history, some of the best loved and talented in-ring greats weren't exactly blessed with six-pack abs and bulging biceps. Wrestling is certainly a cosmetic business, but it's also one that's built on organic connections with the crowd, too. Here's 10 fat legends of wrestling who in 2015 would likely be afterthoughts. Sad.
