A throwaway match on Main Event in 2019 turned nasty when Dana Brooke was drenched in blood only a few minutes in.

Dana was taking on Sarah Logan at the time when she was busted open hardway after taking a knee from Logan where her head connected with the turnbuckle. Because of the amount of blood dripping from Dana’s head instructions were given to the referee to end the match, with Sarah Logan all of a sudden being crowned the winner.

WWE has the PG mandate that there can be no blood shown on any of their new content and when wrestlers cut themselves hardway, medical officials at ringside have to jump in and do their best to minimise the blood and glue the wound shut. With Dana there was just too much blood for a meaningless match on Main Event, so officials backstage instructed the match to simply end there and then, with Logan being declared the winner due to Brooke not being able to continue.

This injury actually started a kayfabe feud between the two online where they traded shots on Twitter.
