1998's King of the Ring Hell in a Cell classic between The Undertaker and Mankind involved two now-legendary stunts.

One saw Mick Foley being hurled off the cage, before crashing and burning through an announce table waiting below.

The other involved Foley smashing through the top of the monstrous cell and landing in the middle of the ring.

Though both stunts were unquestionably brutal, the key difference between the two is that one was pre-planned and the other most definitely wasn't.

Apparently, the chain-link mesh was supposed to sag as the match went on, but it was still expected to hold Mankind's weight when he was chokeslammed on top of the structure. Instead the hardcore legend was sent plummeting to the ground as the roof gave way. Had 'Taker been stood on that same part of the cage, 'The Deadman' would have likely landed on his rival in the ring and both men could have been seriously injured in the madness.

This unexpected bump helped immortalise both men involved and the match itself, but Foley himself has confessed that it was the best and worst chokeslam he ever took, noting that he could have died had he not fortunately landed in the way that he did on the night.
