Ah, Shotgun Saturday Night...

As the then-World Wrestling Federation looked to get a little grittier and more rough around the edges, the concept of Shotgun Saturday Night came together. A weekly show with a stripped back production, this hour-long offering initially emanated from one of New York City's bars and nightclubs.

One of the most memorable episodes of Shotgun Saturday Night, saw Hunter Hearst Helmsley defend his Intercontinental Championship against the Undertaker at New York's Penn Station. While the majority of the action took place in the smaller, yellow-roped ring used on Shotgun, the bout concluded on one of the train station's escalators.

Ever the cowardly heel, Helmsley eventually had a enough of the Phenom and thus exited the ring to take the countout loss. Chasing after his opponent, 'Taker caught the future Triple H at the top of an escalator, nailed his patented Tombstone on Hunter, and then watched as the Kliq member's lifeless body was carried down said escalator.

Unfortunately, Shotgun Saturday Night's format was eventually changed so that it took place in a regular arena and was taped before Raw. Still, that doesn't stop many fans from constantly clamouring for the show to finally be added to the WWE Network.
