10 Wrestling Matches That Seriously Took The Piss

9. Team 3D Vs LAX (TNA Lockdown 2007)

A match so daft it not only took the piss out of four men involved but managed to sabotage an entire pay-per-view, Lockdown 2007's Electrified Cage Match between The Latin American Xchange and Team 3D was a miserable idea that mocked the very concept of danger, let alone pro wrestling.

The four attempted to dodge the a charged fencing, despite being unable to do so literally every time they'd hit the ropes or scale the posts. No worries though because when an unlucky combatant did get shoved into the cables, it would trigger a zappy sound and light show as said wrestler was forced to unconvincingly sell unconvincing electrocution.

The evocative story between the two teams had been stellar too. LAX tore through teams before the jingoistic (babyface) Dudleyville pair and their veteran ways resulted in this match - ahem - beyond borders.

The concept forced the entire card to make use of the 'electrified' structure. Lethal Lockdown, James Storm and Chris Harris' atrocious blindfold match and the first ever women's cage match in company history were all dragged down by the farcical creation. The cheap-looking cable structure was just about the only thing across the evening that wasn't shocking.
