It's tough to single out just one riot caused by the coming together of Jim Cornette's underhand, scumbag, cheating, mega-heat-generating Midnight Express and the insta-smiling, granny-hugging, baby-kissing good guys of the Rock 'n' Express.

Both teams stand as two of the absolute greatest in the history of the industry - regardless of which incarnation of the Midnights we're talking about - and their rivalry throughout the decades is the stuff of genuine legend.

So great at being the classic heroes were Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton, there are stories of Dusty Rhodes being hugely jealous of the two for the sheer amount of tickets they would sell and the adoration they would garner. Likewise, so great at being heels were Cornette's Midnight Express, there was a time when every villain in Jim Crockett Promotions was made to stick around until the end of a show in order to quell the inevitable riot that would break out when the Rock 'n' Roll and Midnights did battle.

Jim Cornette isn't for everybody, of course, but it's testament to Corny's ability to lead his nefarious 'clients' in generating so much heat that people were falling from the rafters to try and attack the Midnight Express. And likewise, few acts in the history of wrestling were able to craft as much sympathy and support from any and all crowds as the Rock 'n' Roll Express - and that's why these teams so often produced absolute wrestling gold, and countless riots, when paired together.
