10 Wrestling Matches You Hated Before You Even Saw Them

Event: WWE Crown Jewel 2019

Why Fans Hated It: Iconic workhorse Shawn Michaels held firm and refused to wrestle again following his retirement at WrestleMania XXVI. He was coming off back-to-back classics vs. The Undertaker, so HBK reasoned that working again (even against guys like Bryan Danielson) would cheapen his career.

Yeah, well even Shawn and Bryan reliving the 'Fingerpoke Of Doom' couldn't have been worse than what happened in 2019. At Crown Jewel, Michaels teamed with old D-Generation X buddy Triple H against The Undertaker and Kane in a tag bout that definitely ruined some fuzzy 'Attitude Era' nostalgia pangs for older fans.

Nobody asked for this, and nobody wanted it.

HBK took the huge payday, returned to the ring and had one of the worst matches of his entire career. All four guys looked slow, ponderous and embarrassing out there. This is one Shawn must look back on and grimace, bumper payoff or not.
