10 Wrestling Matches You Should Watch To Prepare For WWE Extreme Rules
4. Seth Rollins Vs. John Cena - Cage Match (Raw 2014)
When Randy Orton picked a steel cage match for his stipulation of choice against Seth Rollins he did so because he felt like the cage would prevent The Authority from interfering in the match. It was a ridiculous reason considering what happened when Rollins had a memorable cage match against John Cena on Raw on December 15, 2014. Brock Lesnar also came out because they were setting up his Royal Rumble match against Cena while Rollins was also added to the match at a later date. Lesnar knocked down Cena with suplexes and a F5. Rollins put Cena down with a Curb Stomp and then easily walked out of the cage as the winner of the match. If you watch that match again, you can see J&J physically getting involved a number of times while even trying to pull Rollins out of the cage to help him win. Apparently Orton forgets things like this because babyfaces are dumb. This was during the period when Orton was out of action for movie filming and also to set up his face return against Rollins prior to WrestleMania. There have been other cage matches with plenty of interference, but this one was only four months ago and involved Rollins, so we know it can happen again. At least WWE tried to alter the story a bit by saying Kane will be the guardian of the gate, but that doesn't guarantee no interference either.
