One of the most beloved wrestling matches of all time came at WrestleMania XXV. At that show, Shawn Michaels made a valiant run at Undertaker's 'Mania streak, but when it was all said and done, 'Taker was victorious. Fans rave about the bout to this day.

The next year, they had a rematch, and this time, HBK's career would be on the line. The match was just as good as the original, but it's always been in the shadow of the first one. Why?

Two words: Jim Ross.

J.R. called the first bout, but he had been removed by the time the second rolled around. Instead, Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, and Matt Striker were on duty, and it just wasn't the same. Nobody could get the stakes over as well as J.R. and nobody could call the action as well as J.R. Perhaps most importantly, only J.R. was as trusted as Undertaker and Michaels themselves.

Not only was J.R. perfect for the action and the stakes, but who else could handle what turned out to be Shawn Michaels's last match ever? The sight of Undertaker embracing his opponent, then Michaels bidding farewell to the WWE Universe called for Jim Ross at the booth, shedding a tear with the rest of us.
